Toshiba Corporation, the authorized licensor for DVD6C, wins court judgment awarding royalties and interest due from DVD6C patent licensee American Media International, LLC

September 28, 2012—The DVD6C Licensing Group (“DVD6C”)—consisting of nine leading developers of DVD technology—has received a court judgment to collect royalties due from licensee American Media International, LLC (“AMI”). On September 25, 2012, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York entered judgment awarding Toshiba unpaid royalties and prejudgment interest totaling $956,349.69, as well as post-judgment interest at the statutory rate until the judgment is paid in full. This action is part of a continuing global initiative by DVD6C to enforce the DVD6C Patent License Agreement.
