OPTICAL DISC HAVING A SPECIFIC TRACK PITCH
Pits on an optical disc are formed in a specific form in order to obtain a high recording density and lessen crosstalk between adjacent tracks.
- The track pitch is set in the range of (0.72～0.8) xλ/NA/1.4μm.
λ: wavelength of the light beam
NA: numerical aperture of the object lens
- The pit has a trapezoidal cross section whose upper width and lower width are respectively in the specific range.
